Dr. Rob Smith is a licensed clinical sport psychologist based in the Boston area. He played college basketball and coached at the H.S. level. An avid martial artist and instructor, Dr. Rob holds a 5th degree Black Belt in Kenpo style karate. His earlier research focused on interventions designed to improve sport performance, and on the subject of attentional style and its impact on player performance in specific game situations. Since earning his Ph.D. in 1988, he has been working with individuals, teams and organizations improve their performance and general well-being. He has appeared on NBC, WEEI Sports Radio, and has authored many professional and popular articles.
